I recently enjoyed a transformative stay at Kvitavatn Fjellstue, nestled in the stunning landscape at the foot of Gaustatoppen. The check-in was a breeze, and to my delight, we received a complimentary room upgrade, which set the tone for our visit. Our room's panoramic view of Gaustatoppen and Lake Kvitaavatn was simply breathtaking, and with the added bonus of a cozy balcony, it transformed our evenings into peaceful escapes. While we appreciated the unique timber huts and cozy atmosphere, I must say the breakfast was a bit underwhelming - cold cuts and boiled eggs don't quite satisfy my cravings for a hearty English breakfast! The well-equipped guest kitchen allowed us to whip up something more to our taste. I can't wait for our next adventure in this beautiful area, ideally in the summer for some serene hiking and canoeing.
